Meet Team ReelTime !
The ReelTime Crew enjoys sharing their enthusiasm and knowledge with their customers, be it the first time fisherman or the experienced angler. Although putting fish in the fish box is their main objective, bending the rod and having fun is just as important for a successful day of fishing! |

First Mate Carl Lohafer adds decades of experience and expertise to Team Reeltime. Carl has been fishing the Chesapeake Bay and Virginia Off Shore waters since 1978. He personally holds Twelve Weight and Catch & Release Virginia Citation for many different species, including Tautog, Black Drum and Striped Bass. As a First Mate he has helped customers record Citations for Tautog, Bluefish, Flounder, Spadefish, Red Drum, Black Drum, King Mackerel, White Marlin, Jack Creville and Striped Bass. Carl enjoys catching any species but his favorite by far is the Striped Bass. He is addicted to the pursuit of Stripers and has fished for them, while stationed with the Navy, in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, California and Virginia. He has more fishing tackle in his garage then in most Tackle Shops.
When asked what his most memorable day on the water has been, Carl would tell you it was the day that as a member of a 5 man crew, they fought and brought a Big Eye Tuna estimated to weigh over 800 pounds to the boat. After a fight of almost 9 hours and completely exhausting all five anglers, the Tuna was determined to be big to put inside their 24 foot boat and was released to fight another day. |
