Team ReelTime had the pleasure of putting an Ocean Rockfish Trip together for Mr Don Anderson of Virginia Beach, Va. With the winds SW and favorable and the water temp at 43 degrees, we pushed off from Taylor's Landing at 7AM and headed for Sandbridge. It was an easy run and first mate, Carl rigged the day's choice: We decided to run a modified 5 Line Tidewater Spread to cover the water column. We deployed our spread around 8AM and around 9AM, Don had his FISN-ON! This nice 41 Inch Ocean Rock:

Way-To-Go, Don!
This Portly Ocean Rock took quite while to get in. Carl did a super job of giving Don tips on Rod and Reel management and Don did super job of keeping adequate pressure on the fish without horsing it in and possibly losing it! Nice Job and WTG, Team!
The fun continued and we found heavy Menhaden from Rudee Inlet to False Cape. The fish were spreadout and we enjoyed Catch and Release Action until we hooked up to this nice 37 inch Striper, which took one of the new 5" Mann Menhaden Lures...

We found small rockfish fish off of Cape Henry late in the day and did a little catch and release action with them, then decided to head for the Barn as our Guest had a party to get to and we wanted to get him home on time and stay in Good Standing with his Better Half!!! Here's a Don holding his Limit of nice size Ocean Rock:

All and all, it was a fun, productive and beautiful day on the water! Carl and I really enjoyed hooking Don up with some awesome striped bass action!
