07/01/2007 5:11 AM Alert

06/25/2007 - Here's a late post from last Monday...We fish more than we post...

We departed Taylor's Landing around 0730 and headed 17 miles NE-E to go Spad Fishing on a few Wrecks. The conditions were nice, but a little bumpy and after having less than perfect luck trying to get on our desired wreck, we adjusted our plan and headed back a few miles SW and worked stucture near the CBBT and had much better luck.

Within an hour we had boated several nice Spad Fish and lost a couple of agressive whoppers on light tackle.  After the tide and Spads slowed down, we shifted gears to target for Taug.  The bumby conditions made it a little difficult for our party to feel the fish, but we boated several nice ones.

Spad, Taug and then Trigger:  Along, with the Taug we were able to catch Trigger Fish which made for a Triple Header Day.  Also, we marked a nice Cobia on the surface and are glad to see them start showing up in the lower bay.

All and all it was an enjoyable day on the water for our party and crew.  You can always catch more fish, but it's a real treat when you can have a Grand Slam, Triple Header Day!

Any one of these can make the day, but they're all needed to make a successful day!!!"
