The Team

Meet Team ReelTime !

The ReelTime Crew enjoys sharing their enthusiasm and knowledge with their customers, be it the first time fisherman or the experienced angler.  Although putting fish in the fish box is their main objective, bending the rod and having fun is just as important for a successful day of fishing!

Captain Fletcher Dunton is licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard. He owns and operates ReelTime Sportfishing, and has been a resident of Hampton Roads since 1983.

Fletcher has an Eastern Shore Heritage and has been fishing the local waters from Cape Charles to Oregon Inlet for more than 20 years.  His younger days had him fishing in both the bay and ocean, aboard a variety of family owned crafts from 40 feet to 14 feet, for a broad verifty of species including Amber Jack, Sheeps Head, Tautog, Mahi, Wahoo, Blue Marlin, Sailfish, Spanish Mackeral, Spadefish, Triggerfish, Sea Bass, Blueline Tilefish, Golden Tilefish, Red Drum, Black Drum, Spanish Mackeral, Striped Bass, Flounder and Cobia.

First Mate Carl Lohafer adds decades of experience and expertise to Team Reeltime. Carl has been fishing the Chesapeake Bay and Virginia Off Shore waters since 1978. He personally holds Twelve Weight and Catch & Release Virginia Citation for many different species, including Tautog, Black Drum and Striped Bass. As a First Mate he has helped customers record Citations for Tautog, Bluefish, Flounder, Spadefish, Red Drum, Black Drum, King Mackerel,  White Marlin, Jack Creville and Striped Bass

Carl enjoys catching any species but his favorite by far is the Striped Bass. He is addicted to the pursuit of Stripers and has fished for them, while stationed with the Navy, in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, California and Virginia. He has more fishing tackle in his garage then in most Tackle Shops.

When asked what his most memorable day on the water has been, Carl would tell you it was the day that as a member of a 5 man crew, they fought and brought a Big Eye Tuna estimated to weigh over 800 pounds to the boat. After a fight of almost 9 hours and completely exhausting all five anglers, the Tuna was determined to be big to put inside their 24 foot boat and was released to fight another day.

Lucian Montagna hs spent most of his life fishing the waters of Va and NC. Lucian has over 40 years of experience and has perfected many of th team's methods learning from some of the very best anglers on the East Coast.

Lucian has landed countless inshore and offshore fish including Yellow Fin Tuna, Blue Fin Tune, Mahi, Wahoo, White Marlin, Blue Marlin, Sailfish, King Mackeral, Spadefish, Triggerfish, Sea Bass, Blueline Tilefish, Golden Tilefish, Red Drum, Black Drum, Spanish Mackeral, Striped Bass, Flounder and Cobia.

Lucian has spent the last 10 years putting others on fish of a lifetime including a group of US Marines in 2007, who took 1st place in the Catchin 4 Kids Striped Bass Tournament with a 56.88 lb Striped Bass. The winnings (over $3,000) were donated back to the Charity (Toys 4 Tots).

Lucian's longest battle came in 2004 when he fought a 519 lb Blue Marlin for 3.5 hours on stand-up gear. Many folks have fished with Lucian to catch their 1st fish of a particular species and obtain their 1st Virginia Saltwater Citation. It Lucian's thrill to put others on a fish of a lifetime. The pictures and videos on this site speak volumes for the catches of a lifetime, Lucian will always go that extra mile to see those who fish with Team ReelTime CATCH !

Any one of these can make the day, but they're all needed to make a successful day!!!"
